The RUE MORGUE came about from my clients wanting a high gain humbucker with pushed midrange and treble plus have the versatility of holding its clarity on detuned guitars down to A and B Standard.

With keeping a classic design and aesthetic I developed this set to emulate the pushed sound of the ‘70’s ‘hotted up’ PAFs, (think NWOBHM) but with Alnico V Magnets for more top end cut. The result is a raunchy, defined tone with string articulation and clarity in high gain settings especially with detuned guitars.

Each pickup is hand wound, one at a time, so items are usually shipped within 1 week from payment.
