The Jazzmaster Custom 50’s are my take on vintage Jazzmaster pickups. All the same original bobbin dimentions, vintage correct Alnico V rod magnets and Plain Enamel wire but with a touch more output and a better balance between bridge and neck. These also feature the same special wax blend and light potting technique I use on all my pickups. This removes microphonic’s and solidifies the coil but doesn’t dampen the pickup letting them sound open, articulate and responsive.

If your going for the vintage Jazzmaster thing I’d recommend 500k Pots as these will be allow nice bass response and top end while remaining punchy, If you want a little less top end again. Then go with 250k pots.
