The ‘70 Single Coil Set features Alnico V magnets, flat beveled poles, vintage spec Plain Enamel wire with my own special wax blend and light potting technique. This removes microphonic’s and solidifies the coil but doesn’t dampen the pickup letting them sound open, articulate and responsive.

The ‘70’s feature a slightly lower output as standard, a more even string balance and focused tone with the flat pole pieces (think tele or p90 string balance). These are reminiscent of the Strat pickups made around 1975. Overwound sets available and have more mids and bass present.

I also offer these in an Overwound set and with my ‘FAT’ Bridge. This is a bigger fuller sounding bridge pickup with more bite and similar response to a Tele bridge pickup. Output ranges from 9.8kΩ-10kΩ. This will work with Standard and Overwound Sets without affecting the classic tone the 2nd position on a 5 way switch.
