The ‘60 Single Coil Set features Alnico V magnets, vintage stagger, vintage spec Plain Enamel wire with my own special wax blend and light potting technique. This removes microphonic’s and solidifies the coil but doesn’t dampen the pickup letting them sound open, articulate and responsive.

The ‘60’s feature warmer harmonic overtones and increased mids compared to the 54’ & 50. Highs are rounder and chords blend a little smoother when overdriven. Great for overdriven blues and rock tones. Overwound sets able to break up a tube amp faster than standard Single Coils and have more grinding mids and warmer over all tone.

I also offer these in an Overwound set and with my ‘FAT’ Bridge. This is a bigger fuller sounding bridge pickup with more bite and similar response to a Tele bridge pickup. Output ranges from 9.8kΩ-10kΩ. This will work with Standard and Overwound Sets without affecting the classic tone the 2nd position on a 5 way switch.
