The ‘50 Single Coil Set are similar in construction to the 54’s but feature Alnico V magnets instead of Alnico III. These are also offered in Underwound for a more vintage spec bridge pickup. Vintage stagger, vintage spec Heavy Formvar wire with my own special wax blend and light potting technique. This removes microphonic’s and solidifies the coil but doesn’t dampen the pickup letting them sound open, articulate and responsive.

Deep bottom end with a bell-like chime with that punchy, woody 50’s tone. They also will also respond well to overdrive and Fuzz providing full bodied single note tones with a bit more cut and string attack. More Classically “Strat” sounding than the Alnico III magnets and give you that “Texas Tone”.

Available in RWRP, non-RWRP and Left hand Stagger.

I also offer these in an overwound set and with my ‘FAT’ Bridge. This is a bigger fuller sounding bridge pickup with more bite and similar response to a Tele bridge pickup. Output ranges from 9.8kΩ-10kΩ. This will work with Standard and Overwound Sets without affecting the classic tone the 2nd position on a 5 way switch.
